Born in 1862 in Munich, son of the artist Oswald Adalbert Sickert and the younger brother of Walter Sickert. His family moved to England in 1868. His work was influenced by his father and by Whistler. He wrote a biography on Whistler in 1908. Member of the N.E.A.C. from 1888, and at the Allied Artists' Association 1912–13.
